What is SharePoint 2010 ?
Unlike, SharePoint 2007,  SharePoint 2010 is powerful and has got new capabilities which makes it a self contained application framework. In addition to sharing documents, creating workflows, creating team websites etc..,  Microsoft has now added some advanced collaboration and Search features which makes the portal desirable for both intranet and internet websites for a company.  SharePoint 2010 has inherited a lot from Office 2007. It has a ribbon bar at the top like we have in Office 2007, to perform common tasks related to Site Pages and\or data. SharePoint 2010 is a lot user-friendly than SharePoint 2007 and can perform much more tasks in terms of intergration and using external data than SharePoint 2007.
